Avoid trespassing becoming an issue for your business

Updated: Jul 15, 2023

If someone enters your land or private property without your express permission they are trespassing. Unfortunately, unauthorised encampments always appear without notice causing both disruption and stress for businesses and when they leave they often leave behind a trail of waste and vandalism.

Whether it is someone illegally trading from your vacant retail premises, squatting in a derelict building or a group of travellers setting up camp on your land, ultimately dealing with trespassing is best handled with professional help.

The police will unlikely be able to assist you as trespassing is not for the most part a criminal offence but you have the right to remove people from your premises under common law. That is why we are regularly called upon by our clients to assist with the removal of people who are illegally encamping on their property.

We handle everything from the eviction process through to cleaning up of sites and provision of security to prevent trespassing reoccurring.

If you find you have people illegally on your land or in your property then get in touch with our team, we can help you avoid it becoming a major issue for your business.
